No. DVA, as a government agency, are not allowed to recommend an instructor. We suggest that people seek a recommendation from a friend, relative or look in a local business directory.

Yes. We recommend you take practical lessons while preparing for your theory test. The combination of practical experience with theoretical learning should help you perform better at the theory test.

  1. Can I bring someone with me in the car during the practical driving test?

Yes, you can be accompanied during the practical driving test by a friend or your instructor. They cannot take part in the test in any way. They are also welcome to listen to the examiner’s comments at the end of the test whether they sat in on the test or not.
