Compliance

In relation to compliance, we have responsibility for:


  • checking lorries, buses, coaches and taxis for road traffic compliance;
  • checking opeators and drivers for compliance with relevant requirements;
  • prohibiting defective vehicles from being used;
  • where appropriate, recommending prosecution;
  • examining tachograph records; and
  • checking premises for suitability for operator licensing for RTLD.
