ADR/CDG Test Fee Increase and Alternative Arrangements for Certifying New ADR Type Approved Articulated Units

The fee for a CDG/ADR inspection will be increasing from 19th May 2010. All applications received on or after this date will be required to pay the following revised fees:

Application for a CDG/ADR vehicle technical inspection = £88.50

Retest = £45.50

Duplicate Certificate = £14

Note: all retests conducted after 19th May 2010 will be required to pay the £45.50 fee

New Type - Approved Tractor Units

In addition to the fee increase the amended 2010 CDG regulations also makes provision for a new fee (£28.00) in respect of an application for a first ADR/CDG certificate for an articulated tractor unit which is based on the manufacturer's declaration of conformity. This new policy means that there is no longer a requirement for ADR approved artic units (ADR type approval provided by vehicle manufacturer) to be presented at a test centre for its first inspection. A test certificate would be posted to the applicant on receipt of a completed application and fee. Customers should note that to avail of this new arrangement a separate application form (ADR111A) must be completed and posted along with payment to the address on the reverse side of the application.
The ADR 111A application form can be obtained by phoning 0845 601 4094.
